The GS460. Using the same 342-horsepower V8 from the LS460, it’s even more subtle — dare I say, invisible — ad rarer than it’s older brother. It’s a little bit smaller, and a little bit faster. And it’s almost as fuel (in)efficient as an IS300.
I especially love this dark wood finish on light interior I found on an old for sale post on the googles. I think it would be a very nice place to be. The exterior has a little bit of the “mid-00's transitional-purgetory” look, but I dig it.
So what’s the rub? Well, they basically don’t exist because so few were sold. Prices range from 7 to 20 grand depending on condition and age. Most I’ve found are maroon or silver, and of course blaaaaaaaack interiors.
When I take my dog for a walk and largely admire the view and everyone’s fancy or fun cars, I’m always like, “Wow, wouldn’t it be nice... Then I do a little research on whatever the flavor of the day is and end with, “Hell no, I’m not paying for that.”

I really really wish these Lexuses came in manual. I really love the style and subtleness of the IS 300 in particular . If I could have found a manual one, I might have bought one instead of my STi. Yeah I wanted AWD but I mean I’d make it to the ski mountain either way, just might slide around a bit more. I think I'm happier with the stupid turbo lag and harsh suspension in the long run, but I might get old some day.

This is one of the few cars that can really pull off the 4-headlight bug-eye look, the other being the A110.

Welcome to old man life :). I’ve really enjoyed my GS350 so far. I hoped to find a 460, but they’re unbelievably rare. Hell, my 2011 is one of about 3000 built, and I think the 460 was a teensy percent of those. Don’t sleep too hard on the 2GR-FSE though - despite the GS’s heft, it scoots when you boot it. If I’d been smart enough to get this engine in my old IS, I’d probably still have it.
Mine has the same interior you pictured, which I think is the best combo. The black is too dark, and I wasn’t a fan of the lighter wood either. The cashmere and dark ash fits the aesthetic of the car best, IMO. Biggest complaint about the car is the suspension is too floaty. Could be a combination of design and wear/age on the suspension, so I’m planning on remedying that with some F-Sport shocks/struts and springs.
